Simex 31's

I have recently come across a cheap second hand set of 31" Simex extreme trekkers. I have a standard wt swb sierra which is yet to be modified. Last year i brought some transfer gears and a mini spool. I never did anything with them, i just never had the time to but now want to get everything working for the xmas holidays.

I guess what i need to know is how to get them to fit... I have a WT SWB Sierra which has nothing done to it in regards to suspension. I was trying to avoid putting in a body lift. So the only other idea which gwagen steve told me about ages ago was re-drilling the front spring hangers and putting the rears up front + extended shackles. I already have a second pair of standard saggy rears, would standard rears up front be sufficient in clearing the tyres? Or is the body lift a more sensible option?

Any advice would be fantastic.

cheers Sam

How big do they actually measure?

If I were you I would put them on, bash anything you can out of the way - all the seams and tags and anything else that looks like it will hit the tyre and then flex it up and see where it hits

You will also need to cut the outriggers behind the bumper off if you havent already. I am pretty sure plenty of people fit 31's without rears up front

i had silverstone 31" extremes on mine for a while. no body lift with just 2 inch suspension. You'll probably have to extend the bumpstops a bit to stop the uptravel and hitting guards etc and like jonno said just bash and cut until everything clears with some bumpstop adjustment and you'll be fine

Thanks, Ill be sure to cut off the outriggers. Ill get some rims over the next few weeks and give it a go. They measure closer to a 32".
Its good to hear that they can fit without a body lift.
