Ok I need expressions of interest for this event.

If you've never been to the range before it is a great experience. The staff are all super helpful and friendly and the range is super safe.

The rifles that we would use are small calibre .22 rimfire rifles with scope sights. The range distance is 50m and we shoot at paper targets.

I need to get an idea of numbers of those who may be interested. The regulations are one on one instructor to student ratio for their intro course that they run so it's likely that we'd have two groups in rotation on the ground shooting.

I've only ever done prone (lying down) shooting there. You wear PPE while shooting. The rifle doesn't kick at all and this is the setup down there:

let me know if you are interested by clicking on the poll

Ok have spoken to some people. The range isn't open on a wednesday night so tuesday thursdays, fridays and also sats and sundays are open.

I'm thinking if there are only a couple people interested we could do the night as a "casual shoot" rather than a group organised thing as there are a few hoops to jump through.

With a couple of us having shooters licences those who haven't can be supervised by us.

The costs are:

$15 entry with .22 rifle hire
$5.50 per 50 rounds. Bargain on about 2-3 boxes for a nights shoot
$0.50 per paper target

thats about it.

I'm thinkign probably heading down on a tuesday or thursday night. Is anyone keen for this?

I will be interested.
Bit of a change from shooting a 50 Cal though.

.22 Rifles are like pea shooters.

As long as it's not while we're away (16 oct-3rd Nov) I'll be in on this.

For anyone wanting to BYO ammo, from memory Springvale only allows subsonics through the week.
