Reducing video file size?
Can someone tell me how I can compact the size of a video file so that I can upload it for viewing? I have a few things I thought I might put on Youtube but the file sizes are too large.

If you import your video into a video editing program there are two ways you can do it. You can reduce the size when you capture the video. It should ask you what quality you want to capture it at.
Otherwise if you import a video into your video editing program and then go to save movie as. It should give you the options. This can be confusing though because you cannot go to file/save as etc. that is only saving your editing work, not the video.
sometimes it gives you an export to hard drive or burn to DVD or record to mindidv options. this is where you need to save it.
