Night Drive - Warburton - 1-May-2010

Note: Address may change slightly, but it will definately be a Saturday night.

I said at the last meeting that i would run this trip in Toolangi, but i really don't forsee enough track density there to make it work. So, i think that Warby (i know - again!!) will be the go - it's much easier to drive technical tracks that are close together etc...

Location
Warby

Tracks
Depending on light, we could start on Ellis, but if we start in the dark then i think it will be Cemetary (up), Justice (up), Britannia (up)... If it's wet then i think we would definately skip Ellis - broken cars are fun in daylight, but less fun in the dark.

Rating
Hard. I will have met my 1 medium trip for the year requirement (see Gembrook 21-Mar), so it's back onto Hard again.

Meeting
Chish and Fips in Yarra Junction. We'll aim for a 7ish i guess. But this could change closer to the date.

Requirements
Yourself, your car, a sense of adventure, a torch, a snatch strap, two rated shackles, enough money for a cooked breakfast (it could be a late night), a note from your mum saying that you have to be home early if you plan on leaving before the designated end of the trip.

I might well be in for this one, but I would add to the "bring along" list an operating charging system*, and no (known) electrical gremlins. I don't mind changing a CV in the dark, but trying to troubleshoot electrical systems is much harder in the dark

*he says this now safe in the knowledge Jonno now has 100amps of reliable charging power ;)

Steve.

So the battery will be charged, but the winch and bull bar will still fall off?

Drastically reducing current draw, and ensuring all obstacles are driven- perfect. :D

This would have been a great trip. :( :(
But I will not have the Muddies fitted yet.

Driving Ellis track in the dark will be a little extreme for my liking though.
