Update
Do not turn right at Collins Rd travel about 3-4 kms further along the great alpine Rd until you see the sign saying Tambo Crossing.200. -300 mts further along you will see the river crossing and Bairnsdale Club sign on the right.Cross the river here and we are camped on the left after the crossing

Many thanks to all that attended. Sorry I had to pull out on the Sunday night to head home. Thanks to David and all the Bairnsdale club members who hosted the event. It was great to get a bunch of like minded people together. Great to have a few more Jimnys on a trip as well. Paul from the Bairnsdale club had a fully stock Jimny and went everywhere I went without any trouble. Left me wondering what I spent all that money on modifications for.

I will try to make a record of all the tracks we actually covered and will post up some photos over the coming week.

Thanks Mike and David and the Bairnsdale crew for organising another great trip.
There are some great tracks in the area with some pretty amazing steep climbs.Dry weather gave us all plenty of traction and ability to put the wheels almost wherever you wanted.
Great job driving by my wife Helen and also my daughter Emily.i need to fill out Emily’s learner log book but am having difficulty finding a column that has bog holes, river crossings and rock crawling listed.
Thanks again to Mike and David and all who attended

Hi Fellas.
Thanks Mike for organising another trip into the magnificent high country. 8-)
Thanks Bairnsdale 4wd Club for showing us around your back yard.
Most of the tracks west of Dargo were closed for fuel reduction burns, so the trip ended at the Dargo Pub. (where else would you want to be?)
The home made pepper steak meat pie and veg I had for dinner at the pub was worth the trip to Dargo alone. :D
Regards. Wayne.
