I plan to travel down on Friday and camp at Horseyard Flat Friday night, anyone else wanting to avoid the early start on Saturday is welcome to join me. Stratford to Horseyard is close to 90 minutes travel time, so I'll meet the group at the intersection of Marathon and Moroka rds around 10am.
People driving down Saturday will be going through Sale very early so traffic won't be much of a problem but there is a short cut around the centre of town that is easy to follow and will save you 5 - 10 minutes. The next intersection past the Fulham Correctional Ctr is a left turn onto the Sale Heyfield Rd (just before the turn is a new house with palm trees on the right, then a sign for Heyfield, at the turn is a white house with a green roof but you can't see this until at the turn), a short distance down this road take the first right onto Myrtlebank Fulham Rd (sign should say 'to Princes Hwy'), then left on to Sale Rd and immediately turn right onto Myrtlebank Rd, next left is Princes Hwy.

OK Steve. We will look for you at that intersection. We will be on channel 26 but I will also have my handheld on channel 40 as well.
A reminder to all that we would like to be heading off from Starford at about 8.30 am. I plan to be at Stratford by about 8.00 am and will fuel up and be ready for the paperwork. The meeting spot is the usual place on the main street by the park. Please have your personal details forms filled out in advance. One copy in an envelope with your name on it for me to hold and another copy in your glove box.
You should all have my mobile number so if you are running late please phone me to let me know. Otherwise we will wait for a bit but then might leave without you. We have a reasonably long day of driving on Saturday mostly in low range after we leave the Pinnacles. In fact is everyone in the group has already been to the Pinnavles we may not bother going that far and head straight on to Billy Goat Bluff.
The rain should not be a problem, not that much has fallen in the Alpine National Park and the rivvers will not be up. I spoke to the Dargo rangers yesterday and the rivers are the lowest they have ever seen them.
See you all on Saturday morning and then we will pick up Steve along the way.
Mike
