I didn't take any photos/video.
Really relaxing weekend. Once it was clear there wasn't going to be any meaningful snow, it just turned into a lazy camping weekend. Weather was close to perfect, we were able to drive the Barkly River Jeep Track which is quite challenging if you take silly lines, and it was warm enough to have a comfortable night around the camp fire. Must have been just around freezing with the wind chill - pretty warm considering.
All up a nice camping weekend with the added bonus of the Dan and Harley show for comic relief
With the warm daytime temperatures, had there been a lot of snow it would have been diabolically difficult. On the couple of patches of the snow left it was really hard to make progress with the snow being really soft and wet.
Some fog rolled in on Friday afternoon, but there was next to no wind so it wasn't a big deal. Sunday was still, no clouds. Really nice to see the views on a snow trip instead of being in the fog all the time.
Came back down the hill on Saturday afternoon - caught up in Greg and Fel's cabin for some beers and to review the GoPro footage of the weekend (hope some of the highlights make it up on here sometime *ahem* Dank...) and pottered off to the pub for dinner and a lemonade.
Nothing at all of interest happened at the pub.
Steve.
