Re: Mt Worth - Medium - Date: 24th June
Something just reminded me of a Moke Club trick to get up steep slimy greasy hills.
Would have been good on the 2nd last hill,
that very slick corner with all the pushing.
We used to carry kitty litter, to sprinkle on the slimy bits,
worked a treat for soaking up moisture and creating a better traction surface.
These days would have to be an enviromentally friendly version.
Was watching a chain fitting video,
when I remembered how ugly fitting chains to a dirty,
muddy, wet slimy cold wheel x 2 or 4 is.
Think the Vit may get a bag or two to carry around.
Before chains became affordable, we often used rope coilled around the tyres,
but only on spoked type rims.

Max trax are the new kitty litter..
Also, can't pass up the opportunity to comment about kitty litter being appropriate for a moke to be sitting in...
Max trax still might be a bit high brow for a zook, but doof has been sporting one lately.

I'll probably make some maxx traxx type things one day.
With the mokes we used them mainly for mini bridges over stuff,
or up steeper ledges etc.
But that's another day.
Mokes needed to go number 2's somewhere
