I expect we will be in Walhalla between 11:00am & 11:30am which should be plenty of time for booking the daytime train & mine tours.
I'll liaise with Luke re suitable tracks for the Sat afternoon as the weather will have a big influence on choice. It is not intended to be a hard weekend.
Bit of a problem re the offroading on Sunday. The tracks I was planning to use are part of the Thomson catchment and Melbourne Water closed them at the start of May.
Can still do Beardmores below the dam wall and one or two others, but the rest of the day will be on 2wd gravel roads. There's still plenty to see in the area such as Mt Erica and the mushroom rocks and the firetower on Mt Toorongo but it will all be on the very easy side of easy.
Last minute thought - 'Rooftop's map of Walhalla & Woods point' is best for the general 4x4 tracks, also several good tourist maps, showing features of the area, are available in Walhalla.
Cheers Richard
A big thanks to Richard for organizing a great weekend away.

Some of the highlights included:
Saturday Day:
Long Tunnel Mine
Leisurely ambling around Walhalla
Light Lunch at The Wally Pub
Walhalla Railway Ride (including Japanese style photography sessions)
Saturday Evening:
Dinner at the Erica Pub (the steak, chips and pepper sause was spectacular!)
Surprise Birthday song for Marty.
Sunday Morning:

Gourmet Delights in Yarragon
A great time was had by all, and the lady running the Erica hotel said we were a pleasure to host so we must have been well bahaved too.
