Not as tech savvy with images but here is a link to a share folder with some photos:

including two showing a badge of honour on my front diff from maybe the rock after Darcy's diff rock.
Jacked her up and rotated the front wheels and she was pretty quiet. On the lookout for some bash guards.

I wouldn't be concerned at all by that - there's nothing behind there to worry about.
Few in the club have bothered with welded on guards. You can make them from 200NB STD WT pipe end caps, but it's all a lot of effort stripping the housing down to weld them on.
In 24 years of club trips, I've seen one diff punctured from hitting a rock. This happened when a large rock rolled up under the car on reversing and pinched the housing between the rock and the ring gear. A (fairly) freak occurrence.
