Thanks Steve for organising a great weekend. Got home at 6.30pm. I have pretty much set up camp again tonight but this time in the garage for drying.

Happy to see someone took more stuff than me but I have no idea how you got it all in the car Jon. Great driving by the way Jon for a stock Sierra on road tyres.

Maybe we can all bring our photos along to the next meeting on a memory stick and I will bring my laptop and we can all take a full set away with us?

Sounds like you guys got the same weather that we got in Walhalla, nice 'til the sun went down, followed by really heavy rain from 21:00 until the early hours of the morning.

Jon, think I passed you on the freeway, couldn't tell if it was you though with all that junk jammed in the back of your car

Sounds like a great trip (other than the camping and long distance driving)

I was monitoring my fuel useage, for bugeting and long distance type needs.
From my home (Croydon) to my last fill up in Taralgon I did 500K.
My speedo is out by about 15 - 20% so more like 600K ish.

My hwy useage was more than expected towing the trailer,
yet my off road useage was much less than I expected.

Hwy fill was approx. 7k/l on my speedo.
Off road, and part steep mountain roads, was about 5.5K/L on my speedo.
Using my speedo as a guide will give me leeway for future trips.

I was going to blame Greg for jinxing us if the weather was bad, but seeing as it was good I think Greg should take the credit. Greg should also be in charge of weather on all future trips.

Thanks everyone for coming along, had an enjoyable trip, a little bit cold but to be expected this time of year, going back next summer to spend more time on the river.

Greg, total Ks would have been close to 700 and the last couple of hours on the freeway back to melbourne weren't much fun. I did underestimate travel times offroad and also the time it takes a Sierra to get from Licola back to the highway and then Melbourne making it a longer trip, time wise, than it should have been.
