Thanks Richard.

No new fires as far as I can see and the old ones are all under control. River levels are steady or dropping. Very little rain over that area as far as I can see. Perfect weather forecast for the weekend. I am looking forward the the first night around the camp fire. My car is already packed. Meeting time in Licola is 11.00am

I don't have a firm plan for the route for day 2 so we can discuss that on Saturday evening and make a group decision, I will explain the options. We just need to get to Talbotville just after lunch time so Rob can head home. He will have a five hour drive from there back to Melbourne and from Talbotville there is a good road into Dargo so it will be fine for him to head off alone. One option is that we all head up towards Dargo and take the main road to Blue rag and then come back down South Bassalt track to Talbotville which is the steep one. That way we escort Rob all the way back to the main road but we can discuss.

Day 3 will definitely be Billy Goat Bluff the hard way - UP.

Rob - I have copied the map to show you the route to Dargo if you need it.

Rob just phoned me and he has to pull out due to a family issue. That is unfortunate but on the bright side that means we have all participants doing 3 days and also 4 cars can move pretty fast. See you tomorrow at Licola. I may not check the web site tomorrow so call me on 0423 824 504 if you are delayed. If you are late head directly to Zeka spurr and you might catch us having lunch.

Forgot to mention we will be on channel 26 UHF.

Yes Chris I have the same feeling. I finished packing a few days ago. Then I repacked and today I have just been thinking about anything I have forgotten. Took it over the weigh bridge today and I am a bit heavy at present but for a Jimny that is about par for the course.

See you tomorrow.

Thanks guys.

Great tracks, great company and a fabulous weekend. Even the weather was on our side. I think some of those tracks really challenged some of us (well me at least) so it is really pleasing to look back and say we did it all without any difficulties (except for the right hand fork on Basalt Knob South) - well done to all.

Not sure how I will come up with something better for next year. Over the next few days I will post up the names of the tracks and rough times they took for reference.

Thinking about a base camp type of adventure for next year so we are not driving the tracks with fully loaded vehicles - I think that was a suggestion from Wayne. Maybe Dargo as a base? Anyway the thinking cap is on already!
