i don't lay under the car I just stand beside it with my arms folded going "hrmmmm" and "arghhh"

It's fine though :|

you are welcome on the trip in the standard Sierra but bear in mind we will be looking for Medium-ish terrain.

Gwagensteve, is there be any medium bits we can find that may have chicken routes?

I think medium will be no problem. Chicken tracks aren't available for everything, so what can be driven will depend on the group and the weather a bit.

Who is running this trip anyway? :D

Steve.

Jon

I think Steve has a good point. Did I see that Matt was going to come along? We need to have an appointed trip leader and preferably one who knows the area. When I came to grief with my Landrover I was with an experienced guy but he did not know the area. He had the experience to save himself but I stuffed up big time. It does help if someone has been there before and cvan lead the team.

Mike

I'm out, my front diff is in an unhappy place, if I'm lucky it's just the pinion bearing, however judging by the sludge, it may be worse.

Steve knows the area really well, far, far better than I do.

OK, everyone, be warned, I don't know this area at all so as far as me being a trip leader, I think that is like calling Rebecca Black an artist.
I will be a puppet trip leader whose leadership is auto-tuned by more experienced members of the party.

I'm sure you'll do a great job Jon.

All the hard work has been completed - you have organised a trip, and people want to go on it.

Just consider Steve to be your 'adviser' on the day. There's nothing wrong with that at all.

Have a great day out. And if your junk is still running at the end of the day - see you on Sunday.

cheers

Yeah I wouldn't get too caught up in the fact that your trip leader. I lead a trip from the middle of the group :)

I have only been into wheeling for a short time so I wouldn't like to boast any sort of experience.
I originally created this trip because my step dad is coming over from NZL and I wanted to take him out but not in a one car convoy for safety reasons.
But the more the merrier :)
