So we have Approval for the 5th and 6th. Now we need to sort out what people want to do on the Saturday night. Camp cabin or pub so let us know.

Head says camp, body says pub. Having no experience with camping in the snow I'll leave it to the rest. I'm not fussed.

Go half way and say hut.

You're on the permit, so coming isn't an issue. Just keep an eye on this thread as it gets closer to the trip.
We'll be discussing trip details, meeting points etc here and any other relevant information.

If we r not staying on the mountain or hut overnight im out and if we can get the numbers for a seperate group im totally keen to sleep in the snow/on the summit

Looking to the experts to advise me on the best snow camp set-up so my 13 yr old son doesn't freeze. Is it better to swag on a stretcher with a Tarp shelter or use a 2 man tent and stretchers/pads/sleeping bags. Space in the back of a swb is always going to be an issue. Thanks.

I don't have a swag but I know tents are pretty much useless when it comes to keeping you warm. as long as you are insulated from beneath I would say a swag would be better

My swag does keep me toasty warm especially now that it sits on a good stretcher. It's still a bit claustrophobic in there but it's very comfortable. A makeshift awning out of a Tarp makes it even better. Needed that the other week when it rained all night and the rain pooled along the edge and soaked into the mattress. Not nice. Might grab another swag and stretcher for my son. Thanks Jon.
