We had an awesome day on Saturday.
There were five Sierra's in total that did the trip. All were well setup zooks with lockers, gearing, winches (one of the sierra's had a highmount
) and mud tyres... except Brad was the only one that didn't have a winch. But that didn't really slow the day down at all, with Wayne and his highmount dragging brad up the crazy hills.
It was very wet Saturday morning. It rained for a few hours, then around lunch time it sort of cleared up. But it made climbing the steep rutted hillclimbs a little tricky, but very fun
. So we all had to winch up alot of the steeper sections.
The last track we did was very steep, rutted and slippery, with big step-ups. One of the Geelong boys zooks had a nap on it's side which was all caught on video. Nobody was hurt and the zook didn't really look like it copped much damage, so all was good.
It was a refreshing change to wheel with a good bunch of blokes that had capable cars and that knew how to drive them.
I didn't take any vids or pics, but I think Brad took some vids. It would be good to see some footage of the day.
Thanks for the day guys, I had a blast.
