Too bad I missed all the fun. Drove 5 km down the road to lots of brake burning smell and then a smoking caliper when we stopped at the fuel station, thought it wise not to fill up at that point, went to start the zook again and bang dead battery - borrowed -. used the service station girl's car to jump the zook bit of WD40 on the caliper and then home back up onto the jackstands to find caliper completely siezed on Driver front. Auto was also flaring a touch - time to go back for the band retightenting two weeks after the first drive I never got around to. Problem is Auto shop that did up the auto has gone.
Anyone know a good auto transmission guy that isn't going to rip me off? I need the bands retightented and oil and filter service.
Cheers for a great day guys. Sorry about my mechanical issues.
I think it was a wise decision (however nancy it may have been), the alternator warning light is now on solid and it was getting hot just idling. Rear mount radiator this week I think.

after you left, steve and i were remenissing about the last time we were on brittania creek track and had his car out of action and on the strap... it was not very much fun.
FYI - ellis was indeed closed at both ends, but there were already drive-arounds for the closures. The 'seasonal closure' gate was closed at the bottom too - so fingers crossed it will be left as is and reopened again after cup day.
i think the only thing we are missing is the soundwave file of Mika's grunt when he saw the massive damage done to his front guards on the way up justice.
