Today I'm going to do the shock towers and bump stops then start the steering.

I will need to get a double Single V Crank pulley and a Pitman Arm that will work on my 26.5mm steering box (tarago/landcruser maybe), the sierra one is only 25mm.
I will probably find both at the wreckers tomorrow anyway.

I will play with shackle length and spring pack after I put it back together and see where it sits.

Shock mounts and bump stops.

So that means the RUF is done!

Onto the steering.

Steering box plate and crush tubes all welded in

got to wait for the Wreckers to open up now so I can get my pulley and a pitman arm, probably get a tensioner and an oil cooler while I am at it.

Wow thats way longer, how much did you move the hanger forward?

What springs are you running in the front now?

Wondering if the chassis rails are still square after you pulled the cross member off? did you brace with anything else? How'd you go with the pitman arm?

Chasis rails moved out 3mm, we just used a ratchet strap to pull it back in before welding the cross brace, vertically it was fine (though I only remebered to check after welding, phew)

The shocks are the old rears from in Frog. Im not sure, hilux maybe? they are about 45mm longer compressed and I forget how much extended, logic would say 90mm.

Could not find a double single V pulley anywhere, so decided to go multi V.

Water pump on

all muti V now

and thats as far as I got

need to machine out the multi V pulley for the power steering pump.

I did finish off the body mounts and gave it a quick paint.

I dont want to put the rest together, but I wont have lathe access till tomorrow or the next day, which is stopping my build :(
I have a few small things to do, along with putting the body back on, but I dont want to untill I mount the pump as it will be easier. So I guess I will start on the transfer case.
So long as I get it all done by Sunday I will be happy.
