isn't there a passenger seat sitting right next to your drivers seat brendan???
hahaha very true Greg, but if my plans work out, it will either be sold or in pieces for a buildup in the next few weeks,

Trip List as of 20-Jan-2010

Very Likely
Stevie G - Sierra
Noel - sierra
Mitch - sierra (sun & mon)
Greg - sierra (sun & mon)
Mick - sierra

Currently Pending
Dan K - sierra

Shotgun Request
Brendan - passenger seat

Please note that if we end up using the MVO tracks, we need to have numbers locked in 7 days in advance as everyone's names are recorded on the formal request form we fill in and submit to FWDVic and Parks Vic.

Please also note that since we are trying to book accomodation, we really want to know your plans even more in advance.

Cheers,

It seems like my minion has this well under control ;)

OK, Three things we need:

1) Confirmed Numbers
We need these for MVO access reasons and accommodation.

2) Where are we going to spend Saturday night? There's three options really -

A)We overnight at the Black Spur caravan park and eat at the Black spur pub
B)We eat at the Black spur pub and overnight at Doon Reserve Van park, Yarra Junction (that entails a 1 hour, or so, drive after dinner)
C)We come out of the forest a bit earlier and run for Yarra Junction to arraive in time to get food there.

We've been caught out by this before.

3) Dank to lead the drive on Monday to those cool rocks in Gemmy. Get that junk finished!

Steve.

Update for Today (21-Jan-2009):

I have phone FWDVic and confirmed that our application has been recieved and has been forwarded onto Parks Victoria.

The expected turnaround on these requests could be as much as 4 to 6 weeks (2 to 3 is standard), so i'm relieved that we submitted the form as early as we did.

Will keep the group posted if/when we receive further info.

I have also contacted Sin (lockdup from OL) regarding this trip. We should see him at the next meeting. I'll add him to the list of possible starters.

I posed some questions a week ago. I need some feedback before I book accommodation etc.

Please respond with preferences/committment. Don't leave it to the last minute.

I'm in for the three days, with regards to the Saturday night I would rather not get back into the car after dinner. If Doon Reserve has electric BBQ's we could always pack some snags and have a fry up when we arrive. Failing that I would rather stay at Black Spur so long as we don't get takeaways once the publican calls last drinks. (He is tiring to help you!)

P.S. T-Shirts are on order.
