Forgot to ask what are the little red things on your rear diff?
I must admit I have not noticed them until you tried this angle. :D :D :) ;) :lol:

Someone rotated the ground by 90 degrees in the pic.....

the red is insulating tape to stop the disconnected old brake lines to the drums from wandering about. Temporary at the time as the disks were on but the plumbing not done.
