Thanks Fellas for a perfect trip . The deviation from the planned route was perfect . It turned it into an adventure .I have a feeling my new nick-name for Damo ( Captain Diplomacy ) is gonna stick . For Damo to relay to the marooned and demoralized Landcruiser driver that his wife is sending through divorce papers and keeping the house certainly earned him the title . Michael took it well and Damo's humour was actually a medicine for his predicament .
It brought back memories of my first trip ie having break-downs and being cheered up by the Suzuki blokes. It makes me appreciate what the club offers seeing our mob help out Michael ( broken down 79 series monster truck ) whilst beer-drinking 4wd dudes stood by impatiently watching on.
My brother Dave was super impressed and really enjoyed the group dynamic.
Thanks again.
ps - does anyone have any night footage of the first river crossing ?
Rich and Willy
ps The little Sierra sang it's way home to Daylesford without an issue . Phew.
