Hey guys, just went over my notes from last months meeting, and the consensus was to run the trip on either 29th -30th July or 5th-6th August, and if possible to have the permit cover both weekends.

Just wanted to get that information up in this thread, and also prod anyone else that might be interested in attending. There was definitely more than four hands up at the meeting when we discussed this.

Also, can I get a someone to volunteer to be trip leader?
We'll need this to get the permit rolling.

Thanks

I have to ask to are we headed up on the Friday morning like previous years? Or just over night the Saturday and home Sunday?

At this point it looks like there is 5-6 takers, so it will most likely have to be a single convoy for the whole trip.
This can be either Friday, or Saturday and will depend on the consensus of the group.

We can discuss it further tonight and hopefully get the details and permit locked in.

Just realised this is a 4 hour drive to start with. I might install some shag pile carpet through the old swb Sierra to make that more palatable!! Might provide some much needed insulation too :D . I'd be keen to convoy and or stop off half way the night before as an option. Looking forward to it.

I used to wear noise cancelling headphones for long sierra trips.
I am also thinking I will camp down the hill somewhere Friday night.

Ben has put the forms into 4wd vic.
