Actually, all Vibram soles are replaceable, but yes, a stiched sole can easily be replaced. A tale of caution though, I had my Rossi Eagles resoled and the #$%$#$ cobbler who did them stitched them in a bit further and made the toe box too tight.

Ruined a lovely old pair of boots.

My Danners finally arrived!
Long story, but the Danner reseller I sent Seonaid to in Washington DC had closed down, so she had to try somewhere else, on the other side of town in Arlington, VA. USD$40 cab ride there, they're a wholesaler that doesn't deal with the public, they don't ship international, the boots will take 10 days to arrive..... etc etc etc. All too hard.
Seonaid must have really worked sad face and aussie accent as they agreed to ship to Melbourne, organised rush freight etc, but Seonaid had to pay cash up front.
It was a long wait, but I'm actually wearing them as we speak. (Trying to break them in a bit before AT08) Lucky I took the advice of a guy I met here who had a pair as I'm a size over what I normally wear and these are certainly snug, but they're very comfortable and very, very high quality - I'm rapt!
