That's plenty of time to weld up a diff or install a set of transfer gears (again).
its only a two hour job and its still taken me three months

Id like to tag along in my Feroza but not to sure about the ''Hard'' stuff with only 235/75's. I dont want to ruin everyones fun because I know how much you all love ferozas.

Hi Juiced,
From our "trip rating" thread:
A hard trip will generally have no bypasses for technical or severe terrain. Vehicle damage is quite likely. An increase in tyre size and differential locks are recommended. Drivers would be expected to be able to handle their vehicles in critical situations. Trail repair is a frequent feature of hard trips, so spare parts and extended recovery equipment would be recommended.
If you are concerned about your experience of the suitability of your vehicle, speak to the trip leader before attending.
Whilst I'm not going on this particular trip, I know the terrain where the guys are going and I wouldn't be doing it without low gearing and at least one locker. With hard trips, It's often less the tyre size and more the lack of lockers/gears that are the problem in my opinion.
Many of us have been outdriven by someone on smaller tyres due to clever line choice and good driving, but open diffs and tall gears don't allow you to slow down enough to pick the lines your small tyres require.
Please don't think I'm being negative - we're not anti any vehicle (we even have Jeeps in out club

)- it's just that some cars lead themselves more readily to being setup for hard trips.
There's plenty of scope for you to attend easy/medium trips - I reckon you'd find plenty of the terrain on a medium trip to test your car.
Steve.
PS a few years ago we had a really, really well setup feroza in the club.

Thanks Steve I had pretty much come to the conclusion I might not be capable of the hard stuff but ill definatly come out for a day of easy/medium terrain at a later date. I might still come down to the meet up location and say hi to a few of the members.
Im well aware of Ross's feroza ive spent many many hours on here and outers researching his setup.

Hi Juiced,
Sorry - I have to concur with Steve.
A feroza on 235/15's will not handle the terrain we are tackling.
Let us know if you are interesting in coming along as a passenger and we can check around for a spare seat in the group.
Cheers,
Greg

Well, given some of the guys are going planning some labertouche over the sat/sun period, I propose we head out to Warburton instead.
Mika has kindly confirmed that Ellis is open. So if we can get onto ellis, then I'm expecting to be able to get onto Britannia Creek and Ledge track as well.
Should make for a good day.
Hope the change of plans doesn't mess things up for anyone. Let me know if it does.
Here's the proposed meeting time and place:
9am
Supermarket Carpark in Yarra Junction

after a friday night drive which included a rollover , snapped tailshaft and front spring it got worse on the limp home with what I'm guessing is a bearing letting go in the transfer.
