I drive a new diesel GV with Bighorns and a suspension lift. I've been on a couple of easy club trips to Wombat but I'm not sure if the car is up to a medium trip. I have driven Tea Tree Tk near Labertouche, in the dry, and it made it up fairly easily but anything harder or wetter would be a problem.

If you think it be OK, I'm in.

Hi Steve,

I've said it's a medium trip - which pretty much means that there will be hard sections, but everyone will be happy and willing to lend a hand to get your car from A to B.

Two suggestions:
1. Make sure your car has front and rear recovery points.
2. There may be a few spots along the tracks where you decide that you cannot go any further - if this turns out to be the case, it would be smart to have a map so that you can drive around and meet the party at the next track.

I don't really know the condition of the tracks that we are aiming for. But fear not, I'm sure it will still be good fun.

Give me a call if you are still unsure.

Cheers,
Greg

We got a fairly stock daihatsu rocky through most of the open tracks we did in january, a lot of the closed tracks were a fair bit harder and I know for sure that I wouldn't take a GV up Rocky Track if it was at all wet. There is one section on Roberstons track where panel damage to the sills may occur due to a big rock and some ruts in an awkward position on the chicken track but we can do a bit of track building and if we have to, do a slow winch through that section to avoid panel damage.

this bit may cause some issues with the GV but we can get it through ok.

Deb and I would love to come.
We were up that way a few weeks ago having a look around, little Bunyip was like a highway, might be a bit better if it has rained and washed it out a bit but we drove up it in two wheel drive don't think i went any lower than second gear! Andersons and most of the tracks on the north side of the power lines were about the same...
