In my dreams... oh maybe not :)

Post by Brad.Jones »

Okay guys, any one recognize this one: http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Suzuki-Sierr ... 45fed3e2ab
Looking for other zook bits for my Vit and just happened to stumble across it as you do.
It's probably a long shot but maybe just maybe if I can convince those in power it might happen who knows... :)

As far as I can tell it looks like a tidy little (big) mean 4x4 machine.
What do others think? Would it be worth my time to seriously consider it and make an offer?

always hard to tell from pics but looks pretty neat and looked after. Has some good mods too. I'd say $3000 is fairly cheap for that sort of condition sierra today.

Good price, worth it for the bits.

Buy it and wreck it, get quite a profit.

It can't be real good, though, or it would have a rwc.

I can't see a reason why it doesn't have a RWC - looks like a weekend of pulling that hideous rubbish on the back of it off and it would breeze through.

Lots of stuff there for the money. I'd jump at it. If you spent that money on your GV you'd actually devalue it about the same amount due to the off road mods making it all but impossible to sell, so it's a double hit.

Obviously it needs lockers to make it capable and some tidier flares for RWC but if you were half thinking of buying something more suitable for off road work I wouldn't hesitate.

Maybe it don't come with the tyres in the pic.
Front Tyres
155/70R15

Rear Tyres
155/70R15

Reserve not met yet,
didn't notice that.
So it may not be as cheap as I thought.

Would be a good buy with all the goodies listed.
Assuming they in good nick

that's just a listing of stock specifications
Underneath he lists all the mods including 30" BFG mud tyres

and i agree with Steve, better starting with something like this as a second car than trying to mod, wheel and daily drive a GV.

Yep comes with all the goodies obviously he wants more than what the current bid is.
Assume its in reasonble nick otherwise how much would one realistically offer???
So far I have just told him I will make an offer after I have seen the car.

I think anything under $5K would be a very good price. Assuming there is nothing obviously wrong with the car, and by that I mean heavy rust or serious accident damage. Nothing else would be much hassle to rectify.

The big thing to consider with this sort of car is they are so mechanically simple and parts are so available that there's nothing to be very worried about with a car like this. Remember it will be a car for the bush and might never look this clean again and so minor issues aren't ever going to be a big problem - it's all about how hard it will be to RWC, and on the face of it, I can't see any big problems.
