Hi guys,

My name is Bec and i need your help.

In the past i have had a 89 Suzuki Vitara 2 door soft top. I did some pretty heavy mods to it and it was the best 4wd i have owned.. loved it..

now im looking to get into a jimny but im just not sure how strong the chassis is and the arms,... What kind of mods can it handle as i will be doing
some pretty heavy off roading..

the jimny is a good size for me as i can see out of it easly...

PLease help before i go and buy one

if you are in or around Melbs, you should come down to a meeting. it'll be much easier to talk about exactly what you want out of the vehicle, what you class as hard offroading and the range of options for both vehicles.

We have members with both types of vehicles in the club who can give you good solid advice on what directions are available.

Vitaras can be built to handle medium offroading comfortably and Jimny's the same. if you want to wheel really hard stuff then the can of worms opens...main issue is driveline strength. Diff upgrades are a serious proposition for the jimny...

awesome thank you... umm i live 3 hours out of melbourne so it is hard to get to a meeting... i am going to arb today to have a look at some options. I have been told the arms are weak on the jimnys, so i will be looking to fix those straight away
