Club Christmas Do for 2011

Post by Greg »

Hi Folks,

Here is a quick poll to guage interest levels for what the club should do for an end-of-year / christmas celebration.

In previous years we have had camping weekends away to places like Wombat State Forest or Rubicon.

Please vote up which ever option below takes your fancy, and we will poll the votes at the October meeting and get the ball (or sierra) rolling accordingly.

Cheers,
Greg

50:50 tie :)

We could always do a weekend away to an area with different levels of accomadation such as a van park (say Gelibrand) or Walhalla area.

That we we would have access to pub mealsand beers, also given the weekend it typically social I feel somewhere with two wheel drive access would be suitable.

Just some thoughts

Cheers

Current Vote count is 7 for camping and 2 for restauranting.

Wednesday 12 October will be the next club meeting - if the outcome is going to be camping - can we have a volunteer to run it?

camping is definately looking like the winner...

we are still taking volunteers to run this.

I wont be there so please dont be looking at me to do so.

why should you volunteer? because you get to set the date to ensure you can make it :D

I'll have to retract my "camping" vote. Just have way too much on this side of Christmas. I'll recast my vote as a resturant night on a week night (maybe a Friday) which I'm happy to run.

The consensus at the october meeting was that we should have both a camping weekend, and a restaurant night.

mick will run the camping weekend
jim - i'm hoping you are still happy to run the restaurant night

i have locked off this thread and created two new ones to cover each of these.
