The association has been notified that our new training facility is being signed off and could be ready to roll by the end of the year. The property will be used primarily for training, this could be a opportunity for us.

Re: Bacchus Marsh training facility signed off
As things get more and more formalised, I can see the issue of training ( or lack thereof ) becoming significant.
No matter what approach is taken - ends up an expensive exercise for the individual, but i can see the day when if your not trained then things like MVO access tracks etc etc will be off limits.
For example the registration fees for a Registered Training Orginisation ( RTO ) are $1250 PA so even if you can do all the other work involved for free its still not cheap - and that's extremely unlikely as it requires substantial expertiese. I manage Bosch as an RTO so I know how much work is involved.
There's also lots of initial paperwork, policies etc etc........... etc..................etc, audits etc ....................etc.
Also instructors need to be qualified as instructors ( not just driving but educational ) so it all adds up.
Its probably more realistic for a small club like us to use FWDV services. RPL should cut down the actual duration for the more experienced.
So start saving your pennies.

Well that certainly helps. If your volunteering then go for it - you will certainly fill your spare time getting and staying accredited.
