I have purchased this sidewall repair kit for my remote area trips. Never used it and only watched the videos. Not cheap but if you are stuck it might be worth having.

Been using them for years for sidewall stakes just make sure you have tubes to fit your size tyres
If you never get to use the tubes there great floatation devices for river fun, so that two uses for carting them around
