Vitara H20a swap engine H25a

Post by Cesarvit »

hello everyone, I have a vitara v6 h20a, I have a problem with the engine that could be the engine head gasket because I have water coming out of the exhaust and white smoke, in this case I don't know what to do or what do you recommend if I change the engine to h25a or try to fix the problem h20a

What workshops can you recommend in the city of Melbourne?

Thank you very much for your answers Really appreciate

Hi Cesarvit

Have you considered removing the head and doing the job yourself? There is a head shop in Carnegie that can machine the head for around $100 cash and a gasket kit is pretty easy to source. Might be cheaper/easier to repair it than trying to find another engine?

Also do you know what caused it? Did it get hot

Not sure about the H25 swap but I am sure some of the others here may know. Would be a good upgrade if its not too difficult to do. I wonder if the ECU needs swapping to match the motor as well?

Let us know where you are located, might be a few members around who can give you a hand if needed?
