Daylesford Jim Crow Range.Easy. Sunday Mar 5 .

Post by luigi »

Hi Fellas.
An easy trip into the Jim Crow Range.
Starting from The Lost Children of Daylesford Memorial Park in Daylesford.
The park is on the Midland Hwy A300 next to the Mill Market. Heading west towards Creswick.
9.00 am start.
Fuel, coffee ,takeaway and accomodation are all available in Daylesford.

The country is rugged and steep. The tracks are undulating, sometimes rocky with short sharp climbs and descents.

Stock cars will cope with road tyres, but all terrains or muds are better. You will be using 4wd.

Vehicle damage and or recoveries are unlikely.
It will be a full days driving so bring your lunch and drinks. (no alchohol on club trips.)

Have penciled this in the calendar Wayne and put a notice on the fb page.
Hopefully we can get some of the newer Jimnys out and about.

Hi Wayne , i'm happy to help out with some track clearing , and maybe a 2nd leader if it becomes a large group .
I drove the tracks a few weeks ago and cleared several logs , but there may be more .Ill take a trip soon and scope it out .

Cheers, Richard P .

Hi Fellas.
Hi Damo. The tracks are not suitable for a caravan.
There are tight turns, off cambers and steep approach and departure angles.
And huge fallen trees are always a possibility.

Hi, do I need to be a club member to join this trip? Picked up my 2022 Jimny last Friday? Will have A/T tyres by then. Anyone had trouble with BFG KO2 tyres in the wet?
