That went well, except for the bit that didn't.
Met up at Moe McDonalds and, with everyone on time, we left right on 9am. Got to Thomson dam just before 10 for some pics then dropped down to the river just below the dam wall for a crossing that is usually easy but the water level was just a little higher and the flow just a little stronger so some of the lighter cars started to drift a little sideways. Anyway everyone made it and then drove up the steep and rocky Beardmores Track which everyone enjoyed. A transport section followed with a stop at Cast Iron Point for a group photo, then it was down the steepish Violet Town Tk and across the Jordan River. A stop at the Red Jacket cemetery and the Jericho tunnel followed. Up and out of the Jordan valley we then dropped down into the Thomson River valley by way of our third almost steep track, Cream Can Hill Tk, and our stop for lunch by the river. Five more small river crossings and we were out of the valley and on our way to the Toorongo fire tower to check out the views followed by a twisting Mundic then Ridge Rd to our final stop at Noojee where we aired up.
Thanks to everyone for coming along and making it an enjoyable trip.
