Trouble fitting ARB bar

Post by Matthew »

What have people done to mount the lower chasis bolt on a wide track Sierra?
The bar fits the car fine and the holes line up, but the spring mount sits flush with the edge of the lower hole, so there is not enough room for the bolt head to fit against the rail.
My only thought is to have a plate welded onto the outside of the spring mount and use a long bolt.

Grind one side off the head of the bolt. It won't reduce its shear strength at all.
