Excellent Martin

Line up now:

Mike - Jimny (3 days)
Chris - Vitara (3 days)
Wayne - Sierra (3 days)
Martin G - Vitara (3 days)
Rob - Vitara (will come as a temporary member)(2 Days)

As long as no fires start up tomorrow we should be right to go. The weather is looking good for the weekend. River levels have dropped since the rain last week so everything is looking OK at the moment.

Don't forget the extra fuel. For those doing the 2 days you might get away with one tank but to be safe carry extra fuel. For those doing all three days you will need at least an extra 20 litres. We will have an option of diverting into Dargo for fuel if necessary if anyone runs short. I am carrying 40 litres extra just in case someone else needs it. I will also take my chain saw.

Tony will decide on Friday if he is in or out depending up[on how his leg is going.

Don't forget that it can get cold at night in the mountains and temperatures will most certainly be much less than in Melbourne. Gas stoves should be OK this time of the year though.

I am hoping my ice will last for 3 days! Not taking the fridge as it is too big and heavy.

Let me know if there are any questions.

Meeting time is 11 am in Licola which is at least a 3 hour drive without stops. I will allow 4 hours and leave at 7am. Fuel is available at Licola. On the Saturday we might not get any further than the Wonnangatta and set up camp for the night and leave the tracks to the North for the Sunday.

My mobile is 0423 824 504 if anyone has a problem on Saturday morning. Give me a call early though as there is no coverage in Licola.

I will also be carrying 40L of fuel.
So I will have more than I need if anyone needs it.
I will fuel up the car in Moe, and top up in Licola.
(just in case Licola has a fuel problem)

Hi Fellas.
I will have 30 litres. On past high country trips my fuel consumption has been much better than expected. On those trips I have carried 20 litres.
Sure hope the storms tonight don't start more fires.
Regards, Wayne.

I have been watching the fires and nothing new so far. I will check again tomorrow. I think fallen trees might be a bigger problem but hopefully others will get to these before us and take care of them. It should be quite busy up there this time of the year.
