Hi Guys,
Has anyone had any experience running 245/75/16's m/t on the new GV?
I have test fitted a set and they do fit, although did not get a chance to drive with them.
I do run a 2 inch lift and 245/70/16's A/T at the moment, but wanted to go a size up to be able to play in mud.
Do you see any issues? (besides the fact that they are ridiculously oversized and the spare will need to be custom fitted )
I can see that the handling won't be great and I might lose some power?
Any ideas?
Thanks in advance

Re: Large tyres on new GV
245/75 16 vary a little bit in exact size, my maxxis bighorns are a little undersize at 30 inches tall and easily fit, BFG KM2s or Kuhmo KL71s(?) are the full 30.6 tall and just fit, if they rub anywhere it would be the plastic inner guard directly behind the tyre, can be fixed with a heat gun, soften the plastic and push in a little bit.
the spare will fit, just remove the cover (both bits) and space the tyre away from the body with a couple of thick washers, only needs about 5mm.
handlings still good, not a race car but not noticeable in regular driving. Gearings a bit worse, so is the fuel economy.
if you are driving in mud, get a metal bash plate from Outdoor Auto or Ironman4x4, I believe Suzuki has one now as an accessory, try Suzuki Aust or Suzuki Qld.
Finally, get a compressor, you go a lot further in mud on 18 - 20 psi.
