Re: 6-Nov-2012 - Zook Club Cup - Now in Warby!
Great day, first time I got to drive Ellis. I can see why it is so popular.
My only damage for the day was a slightly out of shape bull bar.
Greg was directing and did a very good job of keeping his mouth shut about that one - dw - No hard feelings
Got out of the car and the rest of the boys told me to take look at the front. I didn't feel a thing inside.
Anyway nothing the heavy persuader won't fix.
I actually enjoyed being the drager instead of the dragee for a change.
We finally got lbzook's sierra to a safe place and I was pretty keen to continue on up Britannia Range but then the rain settled in and it started getting dark so we headed home.
Looking forward to the next trip.

Thanks everyone for a great day out.
We had 6 cars in total:
1. Brad
2. Josh
3. Steve125
4. leigh + juiced as Passenger
5. sam
6. myself
First track was Ellis at 9:30ish which is in very driveable knick (bypassing a few bits).
Unfortunately leigh started having locker issues front and rear and only had drive on the drivers side once we got past the large rock section. We eventually towed his car up the bypass of the final section, which included a few fallen trees to negotiate which made the going quite tough.
We completed Ellis at 2:45ish.
Condon track was the next on the list which has some pretty big bog holes on it - all of which were bypassable. Sam did an excellent job of digging himself in at one point and required some pretty solid snatch strapping to get out again.
We got the convoy to the bottom of Brittania Range Track where we parked Leigh's 2wd sierra and had a look at Ledge Track. By this point it had been raining a bit so track conditions were suddently quite slippery. Josh and I drive Ledge track (the actual ledge is much bigger now so we both bypassed this) and rejoined the group back on Brittania Range.
By now it was 4:30ish and the pin was pulled. Aired up and cruised back to town in the rain.
Everyone had a great day out including the two newbies in the 2wd sierra.
I did point out that Ellis isnt meant to be that easy to drive - gotta keep the fear in the youngsters

so its true that a bunch of patrols got stuck behind you guys and started drinking and littering UDLs?
Re: 6-Nov-2012 - Zook Club Cup - Now in Warby!
'fraid so dan.
It took a broken cv and a rear locker that wouldn't engage, but yes, they caught up with us.

I saw drinking, but not littering. I wasn't looking though.
