Thank's Steve for running the trip and thanks Greg for all your work with the permit stuff.
This was an experience beyond anything available without belonging to a club like this as far as I go anyway.
I found driving on snow a unique experience and sort of a cross between other driving I've done in the past but very challenging and fun.
Thanks to everyone else for making the trip nothing but positive and to Jon and Mika for the convoy back on Saturday nite.
Would have been cool to stick around in Jamieson but I'm not much of a drinker and was glad to have a bit of a sleep in and clean up on Sunday morning.

Driving in so much snow was tons of fun.
Thanks to Steve for the air and Jon for the fuel. Yeah, was definately good to convoy home in a small group, hope other Jon didn't have anymore carb issues.

He was cruising fine from the time we parted ways with you Mika, and then when we hit the Monash he cruised off easy as so couldn't have been under-powered.

Mika, I had no more issues on the way home, I think it was a bit of bad fuel, I usually run premium but couldnt get it/didnt see it in Mansfield or Jamieson, Filled up again on Sunday morning and its been perfect ever since.
Was an awesome trip, definitely something very different and a great learning experience. I hope those that stayed back at the pub on Saturday night had a good night.jonfromhamilton wrote:Thank's Steve for running the trip and thanks Greg for all your work with the permit stuff.

The parmas were ace. In all honesty it was a very quiet night.

FYI - the weather reports are indicating there could be more snow coming over the next few weeks.
Given we have just had the snow trip, we are in a strong (prepared) situation for sending off another permit application if there is any interest from club member to have another snow trip (day trip or overnight etc).
Let me know and we can kick off the applications as required.

I haven't even unpacked the Sierra. It wouldn't take much to talk me into going back up

3 is the minimum, so dig up another couple of trouble makers and we're in play.Brad.Jones wrote:I haven't even unpacked the Sierra. It wouldn't take much to talk me into going back up
