BFG KM2 33x12.5 80% tread left how much they worth?

Post by Brad.Jones »

Been offered a set of BFG muddies. How much would one pay for them?
Shame that I have brand new 31s but anyway.

they're worth nothing to you... move along :D

Whilst I'm sure that KM2's are great tyres on a patrol or something, they are really pointless for a sierra IMHO, especially in 33 12.5. They aren't super tall so you don't get that "I can't believe I just drove that rut" performance, they aren't super aggressive so you don't get that "I can't believe I just drove that hill" performance, but the square footprint will hurt directional control badly.

If they are super cheap and you don't mind the work to fit them and the expense of headlocks, they might be worth a try, but in lots of conditions I don't think you will find they will outperform your 31's.

Get yourself on the tour and reassess where to spend your money after you've driven your car for three solid days alongside more modified cars and worked out what you want it to do/not do.

Sort of thought that might be the answer.

Sorry brad - any tyre that claims good road performance is not a tyre you want to own.

There is often a set of 34x9.5 swampers for sale in the region of 500 to 1000 bucks depending on wear. I reckon these are the goods you are after.

I have a set of Q78's that are nearly ready for a new home. They're 16's though, but they'll be cheap.
