Christmas extravaganza at Bills - 19/20 Nov

Post by Jonno »

It is time for our annual Christmas camping trip at “Bills Block” in Dixons Creek. This property owned by a friend of the club is located just 20 minutes from Lilydale. Address in the members section or PM me.

Suitable for all vehicles with tracks ranging from very easy to very hard on the property, camping access for 2wd vehicles is also available

A roast dinner will be provided by the club with a range of meat and veggies on offer, RSVP here If you would like to be included (Thank you to Damo for organising this)

Cost is $15 per head which will be donated to bill for camping and use of his property

This year in addition to the traditional roast and drive, we will be putting on a few demonstrations:

-Safe recovery techniques, tips and tricks
-Winching techniques and safety
-Chain saw demo, techniques and safety
-And inevitably an unplanned car fixing demo!

Meeting at 10am on the Saturday, ending midday Sunday
BYO drinks, plates and eating utensils, chairs and camping gear (and food besides dinner)

All members welcome including new and prospective members as well as partners and kids. See you all then!

Hi crew,

Thanks Jonno and apologies for any miscommunication but I said I won’t be doing the catering this year and not sure if I will be in Melbourne that weekend at this point.
Happy to guide someone else through it

Very sad to hear damo, I think everyone looks forward to your cook ups every year!
Are there any volunteers to take over from Damo? Even a couple of volunteers? I am happy to help out anyone who puts their hand up if they need an extra pair of hands

I will put my hand up for cooking duties. Cohen will be coming along so would be great if Aaron show him how to skin his kill :D
Thank you for the offer of help Steve. We'll be hitting up Costco or Tasman meats on the way maybe. Might have a lead on beef out of Warrigal and lamb from Foster.

Thank you Caitlan and Steve for helping. I will grab all the kai on the way up.
Can everyone who is coming or 'tentatively booked' please list your intentions so I can work out numbers? I will update the original post with attendees.

btw your forum profile is now active Caitlan.
