Re: Winch for a Jimny

Thanks Jon. The ARB bar is a winch bar but I do have to get a winch which matches the bolt pattern. There is a huge difference between the WARN and the Tigerz winches in price, they are almost opposite ends of the spectrum. I wonder what is in the middle? Thanks for the advice.

Unfortunately that won't win me any points at all and I hate cooking.

Winch for a Jimny

This is a bit of an open question but I am going to pick up an Optima Yellow top from Dan and among other modifications like the interior lights, a decent LED reversing light and an on board compressor I was going to install a winch. I had my heart set on a WARN winch but now I know the prices I am ...

Re: 19-Aug-2012 - Gembrook - Medium

Damn - 5 August is my son's birthday and 19 August is my wife's birthday. Have to get my priorities right I guess so I won't be doing this one. I am doing some work on the electrics at the moment anyway so it may still be in the garage in August at the rate I work.

Re: indicator legal stuff

Jon My ARB bar has the lights inset into the bar. They are probably 1 to 2mm inset from the face of the bar. I expect that as long as they can be seen from from an angle it should be Ok but there would be an ADR for it if you knew where to look. If in doubt phone Vicroads, they have been quite helpf...

Re: Mt Worth - Medium - Date: 24th June

Just thought gv2010 made a racist comment then worked out who gv2010 was! Don't be too hard on your self gv2010, we are all learning together. I second the notes from Richard above. I would rather have the scary lessons with a whole lot of experienced people around me rather than come across a situa...

Thanks Luke for leading the trip today. Although I may not have looked enthusiastic when I was sliding off into the bushes it was a great learning experience for me. We were back home by 5.00pm. Likewise, I would love to hear how you ended up.

From the contours on Google Maps it looks to be no more than 500 metres but that is just an estimate.
