Problem soloved, new alternator has 3 termnals two ignition and 1 to dash light, standard wiring harness plug only has 1 igniting terminal and the dash light wire, so just had to jump the ignition between the two terminals. Brake dash light fault also disappeared.

Float Seems to move freely, also swapped it out with a spare rubber Reservoir cap that I had, no difference,

So dose anyone no what Could be wrong? Both my alternator ( battery) and brake dash lights are on. ( just to clarify, “brake”, not “park brake”, dash light) Stock 1985 ute.
