Re: Twinsticks

That's cool. Sorry I didn't get back to you about the boot sizing - I'm only getting into the shed on W/E atm so I missed my chance. If the boot also works for sierra, then that sorts out Mugginsmoo's twinstick too, which means I can also get one  Yay! more sticks to play with! *conf...

Re: Looking for ideas for a build?

Wonder how it fits in with UK registration requirements....... Some of the dubious stuff that gets plates in the UK amazes me. They still have a large "kit car" industry and as a result seem to have very few restrictions on this sort of thing. Lots of hybrid landrovers and even tube frame...

Re: Looking for ideas for a build?

That actually worked out a lot better than I imagined it might, but I reckon it would be scary as hell. It's hard for me to see the advantage over a conventional sierra. As I understand it the advantage of forward control is a very short wheelbase for a large load area and the ability to load betwee...

Re: Gallagags Trolley tug build

Hey mate thanks for putting this up, you don't realize how big the change is when you see it in stages but going from the original photo till now you can appreciate the amount work that has gone into it more. I didn't really hurt my shoulder I just couldn't face that loom. ;) Cheers Stripping looms...

Re: Gallagags Trolley tug build

Engine and gearbox choice - some rationale. Michael has chosen the Baleno donor for the following reasons: The 1.6 baleno is the biggest and most powerful variant of the G16 motor IT is easier to fit the G16 than the later J 18 or 20 or M 15 motor series, for the following reasons: Engine mounts are...

Re: Gallagags Trolley tug build

So, Day one saw us get the engine out of the cut, and day two saw the engine cleaned down of unwanted/unhelpful accessories, the loom pulled out of the car and the K member stripped etc. Here's the motor: http://i161.photobucket.com/albums/t218/Gwagensteve1/Baleno-motor.jpg and here's all the stuff ...

Gallagags Trolley tug build

Not sure if this should go in tech or "show us your ride" but as it's a build thread, (and will be a big one) I thought it should sit in here... feel free to move it or tell me off as you see fit. Michael bought the tug in late 2004. It had lived its life as a trolly tug, and may never hav...

Re: wt vs nt spring bushes

I am not aware of any differences at all in the bushes required. However, I recall that some stock Suzuki springs have the large eye spring bush vulcanised in on the rear springs and I am unsure if this is the case for all suzuki springs. Maybe the difference is kit number is just the provision of t...

Re: Oil Light is now on (Flickering)

How do you know it's actually lost oil pressure? IMHO you have two separate issues here. Check you actually have no poor oil pressure. Oil pumps are generally very reliable as they are always in oil, wiring, on the other hand, is less reliable, especially in a car that has been offroad. If you have ...
