Sierra front end/RUF
My Sierra was originally owned by Qld Rail and has extra 'bits' added to the front shackle bracket. I guess these were for a high rail attachment. My question is could this be modified into a RUF? You could almost mount the shackle in the hole that is there without a bushing/rubber but that probably...

Re: Luke's Mount Worth Daytrip - Sat 3rd July
Had a good day, thanks Luke, lots of redlining engines on the slippery hills. Only needed a tow four times  (thanks Luke and Andrew), traction control is no substitute for locked diffs, and a bit more ground clearance would be nice. Roll on project Sierra. http://i236.photobucket.com/albums/ff...

Re: best place to buy hub nut, washers, lock washers etc...
The only place I know for stuff the regular bolt and bearing shops don't carry is Keables in the CBD.
It can be expensive if you don't have an account as they have a minimum charge of $27.50 (if nuts and washers cost $10, they still charge you $27.50).

Re: Gembrook State Forest - 21-March-2010
it was a good day, started with a few easy trails then got serious after lunch, lost a little more paint off my shiny GV and heard all sorts of new metallic grinding sounds coming from under the car, got stuck a few times but with some expert guidance, and no winching/towing, eventually made it thro...

Re: Carby Problems- Again
The stalling on deceleration (my Sierra does the same) is possibly the idle solenoid on the front of the carb, the one with a green wire coming out of it. You can run a piece of wire from the battery to test if it is working. Suziworld doesn't sell idle solenoids as a part, only complete carbs, and ...

Re: Gembrook State Forest - 21-March-2010
I drive a new diesel GV with Bighorns and a suspension lift. I've been on a couple of easy club trips to Wombat but I'm not sure if the car is up to a medium trip. I have driven Tea Tree Tk near Labertouche, in the dry, and it made it up fairly easily but anything harder or wetter would be a problem...
