Steve is probably best to answer, but gasless has worked for me with everything that I have needed to do. The wire is more expensive, but probably not more than the rental of the gas bottles and gas for the limited amount of use on an annual basis. Different story if you using it every day, gas mig ...

Yeap, learn to arc weld first. Once mastered, mig is a piece of cake. I like gasless migs cause I am lazy, but there is nothing quite like 24V DC field welding (which I have done quite a bit of on the track over the years).

The 140x140 restriction is put in to make the page look consistant and fast to load (even on dialup). I just use photoshop etc to resize image.

I agree with cj. This is the same path that other clubs LR Vic and Suzuki NSW have gone down to give members value-add.
