I replaced the whole mount on the compression side, the single mount side with a urethane block and through bolt. The other side I machined up two spacers which screwed onto the factory TC mounts and accepted the normal mounting bolt on the other side. Never broke anything with this setup.

The only time they break is when you are lifting wheels with the pedal to the floor and they bounce and grip, load an unload and then explode from that type of torture. I dont think you have to try too hard to push it back too far. theres no real advantage to getting it up under the grill. just get one of those winch mounting plates and make it fit on your chassis rail. then you can build the bar off that. Thats what ended up happening with mine and it worked out p...
