My spare is a 205 R16 on an LJ 16x4.5 rim. A pretty good match for my 30" tyres.

On the Border Track trip I did 1500, but that was via Mildura and included the Murray - Sunset National Park bit.

Here are some pics from last Saturdays afternoon drive in the Wombat State Forest south of Gisbourne. The tracks were fairly dry with several bogholes to be negotiated. Life was made interesting for both Michael and Ross as both suffered mechanical problems and were reduced to rear wheel drive only ...

A good although "testing" day, I think Ross was the only one of 6 vehicles that didn't have to be winched or snatched at sometime during the day (got to be happy with those mongrels Ross). Just as well we had the winch equiped Disco along, it got a good workout. A couple of zooks came thro...

Sounds very cheap for an oil filter! Where are they available from Ross?

W/E forecast is snow down to 700 metres. That's less than half way up Skene!
