Re: Carby Problems- Again

I sort of had a funny feeling that I might have triggered the problem myself, as approx 130Km before the problem reared its ugly head I'd put 150ml of injector/carby cleaner in with a full tank thinking it may help with a bit of flat spotting I'd been experiencing. But you wouldn't think the cleaner...

Re: Jordan Valley Sunday 28th March

Yeah! No way Beck, the forester is firmly booked for the Sunday morning market. Anyway, the Sierra's woes have been resolved and now running ok, fingers crossed, so I'm in the go position for this trip. Could the declared starters please confirm their intention by Friday so I know who to definitely ...

Re: Carby Problems- Again

Got my car back today and now running ok with no stalling. Apparently the idle jet had become gummed up.

Re: Carby Problems- Again

My Sierra has caught the same disease. ie. engine dies on a closed throttle. :(
The carby place that reco-ed it 2 years ago is going to look at it tomorrow (Tuesday).
Needs to be fixed if I'm going to lead the trip next Sunday.
Has your problem been resolved Matt?

Re: Jordan Valley Sunday 28th March

This trip is still on. Should be a cruisy sort of trip visiting the afore mentioned historic sites, but covering a fair few K's. I think my previous estimates for the "no fuel" zone were a little lean. Distances are more likely to be, Moe - Warburton 185K & Moe - Healesville 200K. Coul...

Jordan Valley Sunday 28th March

Some advance notice of a proposed day trip through the 1800's gold mining area in the Jordan river valley which is situated north of the Thomson dam. Visit sites where mining towns Red Jacket and Jericho once stood. Visit the old Red Jacket cemetery. This will be a round trip, heading down the Princ...

Re: Trip Leaders Night - Friday 6th November

Sorry! but I'm going to pass on the compromise.
I'd still like to organise a trip through the Jordan valley north of the Thomson dam, probably during March or April next year.
I had to cancel this trip back in April this year.
