Decided on 5G Wifi Pro to replace my Cable Internet.

Decided my home internet is going 5G. Wasn't happy with NBN through very old copper, 3 houses from street underground.
(This may change with rumours of free or cheap upgrades to fttp in 2023 )
Also be cheaper going 5G for my single man uses, and useable away from home.
Plus no need for any installation peoples or fees (which nobody could quote without coming to inspect) .
Once Telstra realised I was serious about cancelling my cable internet, they came up with some better offers and pension discounts.
Which was more appealing, but 5G was still cheaper. (And I can take it with me on trips, if ever lock downs end)
As a long term Telstra customer I accrued enough points to discount the purchase of a 5G WiFi Pro.
So keep in mind, it is worth bargaining with your nbn suppliers.
Only annoyance is a new payment system, just to complicate matters.
Won't disconnect cable till new device is up and running.
And then will migrate mobile phone to new system to simplify things.
Thought hard on this for 6 months.
But with nbn cable cut off date at end of year, now seemed a good time to dive in and try it.
In 3 years time, will need a new phone, computer and my tablet already died, so will reconsider nbn then.
