In the light of a recent conversation I have had I was thinking perhaps a fire extinguisher demonstration could be a very useful thing for a lot of members.
Perhaps if people were interested could be organised with a cfa member?

That’s quite a good idea. We could also have some extinguisher races to see who can get out of their with their extinguisher in hand the fastest.

I'm keen to come along for this one.

Can bring a high pinion Dana 44 third member and axles to bust open and compare with Vitara if there's any interest

I’m in definitely and a +1,
I’d have to leave about 5pm’ish but willing to travel back the next day if it’s available?

Topic: recommended engineers (VASS) and roadworthiness,
I’d like to hear club members stories about getting vehicle on the road (funny and annoying). Or is that more a thing for around the campfire?

No, that’s totally relevant Rod.
We’ll have Jon and Josh in the shed who have both recently completed engineered builds. Good topic.

Hi Steve

I am in .... and will stay for dinner but not overnight.

Potential topic for discussion... I have had my G16B Vitara engine rebuilt and it is blowing smoke on start when left overnight and is using oil at the rate of greater than 1 litre /1000 kms. Power and acceleration seem ok as per before rebuild.

Have replaced the re manufactured head twice (original rebuild and then again) thinking it would be valve stem problem. No codes, Injectors were ok before rebuild, new PCV. I suspect piston ring problem and would like to know how to do a compression test (happy to purchase tester for use on the day if you recommend a brand/type). Would certainly welcome thoughts from others as to other possible issues that I should consider, as I am keen to get a RWC for Club plates
