Hi My son has a coily , the transfer case is clunking , it needs a rebuild . He's totally happy with the ratios and not interested in lower ratios.
Q. Are the Jimny transfer cases the same as these - do they bolt in easlily ?
Q - Does anyone in the club have a coily transfer case they are willing to part with ?
I would like to help him get this sorted.
Thanks Folks , sorry i cant make it to Bill's this weekend.

Re: COILY TRANSFER CASE
Jimny transfer is similar but not exactly the same and doesn’t have provision for the speedo cable- they use an electronic speedo.
Parts should be reasonably available. It’s most likely a stretched chain.

Agh Ha , ok . Perhaps we would be better looking for a standard WT 1.3 case and put some nice new bearings in it

Re: COILY TRANSFER CASE
Yes, but it will reduce ratios both on and off road. This won’t impact cruising speed negatively, but it will slightly raise RPM for a given road speed. Offroad the reduction will be quite noticeable but not excessively low, even with stock or small tyres. What size tyre is the car currently running?
